Painting Vans Pink in the Fight Against Breast Cancer

September 27, 2016

Two Service Experts centers are making a statement this October with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are both going to paint two of their company vans pink for the fight cure breast cancer.

Throughout the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be donating 20% of all sales from their pink vans to their local Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help cure breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be donating 5% of all sales from their pink vans and also donate $10 for every furnace tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast.

This is the second year Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted two of their vans pink to fundraise for this great cause. In 2015, Fras-Air was able to raise over $7,000 for Komen North Jersey. David Schneider, General Manager of Fras-Air, and one of his technicians both lost their mothers to different forms of cancer and were moved to help other families.

“The National Cancer Institute reported that 107,184 women in New Jersey had breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider explained. “While the quantity of cases is actually decreasing each year, that still leaves a huge number of families who are grappling with this disease, and there is still an urgent need for research and support.”

The General Manager of Service Experts of Raleigh, Chris Overton, echoed Schneider’s feelings. “As reported by the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the most prominent type of cancer in North Carolina – for women and men.”
